"Night Watch"
Hand-carved from a 1.6 lb piece cottonwood bark, "Night Watch" plays on the old folklore of wood spirits as quiet protectors of the home. While his closed eyes give the impression of a deep sleep, the piece is meant to suggest a patient, calm awareness. He blends seamlessly into the heavy leaves and raw bark, serving as a silent, grounded guardian that keeps watch over a space long after the lights go out.
