Classes
The studio name "Hand to Heartwood" embodies the journey from hands-on craftsmanship to inner well-being. Creative wellness classes provide a much needed outlet to unplug, refocus, and reconnect through handwork.
Engage a clear, creative mind through the art of joyful handcraft and the practice of building mastery.
"Talent is a pursued interest. Anything that you're willing to practice, you can do." - Bob Ross, teaching artist

These project-based carving classes are for lifelong learners and teams looking to slow down, focus on the present moment, and practice the joy of a skillful challenge. Woodcarving project options include comfort birds, folk art whittles, and ornaments.

Soap carving projects are also available as a more accessible and inclusive option (easy on the hands and no sharp tools required!) for creators of all ages and abilities. Not scouts' projects with plastic knives, but a mindful intro to subtractive sculpture using tools appropriate for ages 4+.
