Portrait study of Frankenstein's monster. Hand-carved from cottonwood bark and finished with Howard Feed-N-Wax. A true collaboration with wood: the bark fracture accents the brow; the narrowing of the bark defines the bust; and deepened grooves in the outer bark are integrated as bolts.
