Hand-carved from a 1.1 lb piece of cottonwood bark for Indiana Artisan's 2026 Americana theme, Beacon captures the spirit of America’s 250th anniversary. A lighthouse does more than guide ships through rough waters—it stands as a symbol of resilience, direction, and hope. This sculpture connects that imagery to the American story: a nation built to weather the storms of history. The rugged, deeply textured bark reflects our historic roots and ability to find new life, while the carved tower represents an enduring strength that still looks toward the future.
